I graduated from the Corcoran College of Art + Design with a Bachelor’s of Fine Art with honors in 2008. I have been designing for Northrop Grumman for five years. I am currently taking online Masters courses in Integrated Marketing Communications through West Virginia University.
On an average day, I am planning production; drafting, and executing creative designs for marketing, social media, web design and publications. I meet and communicate with business partners to brainstorm and collaborate. Then I might spend an hour to photograph or record an event, interview or news story. When I return, I focus my time on any large projects and concentrate on my priorities. I specialize in Adobe Creative Suite, Web applications and Microsoft Office applications.
I also have a passion for helping the community. I served as the local chapter Chairperson for my workplace volunteer-based environmental conservation group, greeNG, for two years. As chair I led eight volunteer events including four local cleanups, two Earth Day events, a tree planting with children of employees, and our work was even published in Northrop Grumman’s 2013 Corporate Responsibility report. I volunteered to design the Habitat Herald, quarterly newsletter for the Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy, for nearly two years. I also volunteered to assist monthly art therapy classes at Potomac Community Resources, Inc. (PCR) in 2012.
One of my most beloved jobs was working for Brookside Gardens for 3 years building and designing light sculptures for the Garden of Lights. At Brookside Gardens, I also led teams, provided information services and taught art classes.
